Molly McMillan
Molly McMillan, OTR/L is an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience in a variety of health care settings. She is a
- highly skilled,
- thoroughly trained, and
- sensitive practitioner
who originally founded Manhattan Myofascial Release (see www.manhattanmfr.com) in order to provide the kind of individualized therapeutic services she found lacking in large facilities. She is now excited to share her work through Monadnock Myofascial Release which she began after moving to the region in 2008.
Since 1996, she has studied extensively with myofascial release founder John Barnes, P.T., and now instructs for his company MFR Seminars nationally. As well, she teaches an introductory course, and offers both client and practitioner courses locally see classes for more information.
Molly uses myofascial release and craniosacral therapy as her primary modalities because she has found its' theory and practice to produce successful results in a minimal amount of time.
Molly is trained in other areas, please see related modalities for more information; these are incorporated into the clients treatment program as needed. She also teaches local introductory classes and is available for in house presentations; please see classes for more information.
Molly considers herself a therapeutic artist using her
- hands
- knowledge
- and intuition
as the tools to guide clients toward healing and freeing of the inner or authentic self. She believes that people are fundamentally whole, and the healing process involves removing any obstacles to this experience.
Molly has been featured in a national O.T. publication,Today in O.T. (place link here), on the Oxygen Network in The Journey with Caroline Myss, and in their Town Hall Meeting.
Molly has a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from The Medical College of Georgia where she graduated cum laude, was elected to the Alpha Eta honor society, and to represent her class at the national conference. She has taken numerous continuing education courses related to her field, for a full list please inquire.
Molly's other interests include being with her husband and 3 year old daughter, acting, she is a member of The Edge Ensemble, a local theater company, and any outdoor activity especially skiing, hiking, and swimming. She can now add beginning gardening, and gourmet cooking to the list!
